IRS990/Desc0STUDIO AND BUILDING UPDATEINSTALLTION OF THE FEW REMAINING MURAL SECTIONS TOOK PLACE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, AND FOCUS SHIFTED TO INCLUDE PREPARATION FOR INSTALLING THE COLLABORATIVE PIECES IN THE REAR RAMP GALLERY. BY THE END OF 2021 INSTALLATION OF THE MURAL WAS APPROXIMATELY 95% COMPLETE. THE UPPER VIEWING PLATFORM IN THE GALLERY WAS BUILT AND INSTALLED, THE FIRST SET OF STAIRS FROM THE GROUND LEVEL TO THE MID-LEVEL VIEWING PLATFORM WERE FABRICATED AND INSTALLED AND THE ELEVATOR WAS ORDERED. THIS WOULD PROVE TO BE THE BEGINNING OF VALUABLE MOMENTUM TO COMPLETE THE FIRST OF AMPS TWO MILL BUILDINGS IN PREPARATION OF OPENING THE EXHIBIT TO THE PUBLIC IN 2022. A NEW FINANCING PROGRAM WAS ESTABLISHED AND IMPLEMENTED AT AMP, CALLED THE AMP CREDIT-HOLDER PROGRAM, TO SUPPORT THE CONSTRUCTION VIA A LOW-INTEREST LINE OF CREDIT. THIS ALLOWED SUPPORTERS OF AMP TO PLACE THEIR FUNDS IN A JUMBO CD AT NORTHWEST COMMUNITY BANK WITHOUT DONATING THOSE FUNDS TO AMP. THE CD WAS THEN USED TO SECURE THE LINE OF CREDIT. DURING 2021 THIS PROGRAM HAD 100% PARTICIPATION BY AMPS BOARD AND STAFF, AND EFFORTS WERE THEN DIRECTED AT ATTRACTING OTHER CREDIT-HOLDERS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE ORGANIZATION AT THE END OF 2021.AMP ALSO ESTABLISHED, THROUGH THE CREDIT-HOLDER PROGRAM, AN OPERATING REVOLVING LINE OF CREDIT AT NORTHWEST COMMUNITY BANK. THIS REVOLVING LINE OF CREDIT IS SECURED BY ONE CREDIT-HOLDERS FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000. THESE FUNDS ARE HELD IN A CD AT THE BANK. THIS LINE OF CREDIT HAS NOT BEEN CALLED UPON TO DATE.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0WORKER-IN-TRAINING (WIT) PROGRAMSAMP RAN ITS FOURTH SUMMER OF THE DIGITAL STORYTELLING INTERNSHIP PROGRAM. FIVE INTERNS WORKED WITH AMPS TEACHING ARTISTS AND HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO INTERVIEW, FILM, EDIT, AND COLLABORATE ON A STUDENT DRIVEN PROMOTIONAL VIDEO SUPPORTING AMPS NEW SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAM OVER THE TWO WEEK SESSION. OUR WORKER IN TRAINING (WIT) PROGRAM THAT INVOLVES INTERNSHIPS FOR STUDENTS FROM THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE SUPPORTED ALL PROGRAMS FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN (CHAMPS, SUMMER, VIRTUAL/REMOTE). THE WIT INTERNS EXPERIENCED BEING AN INTEGRAL PART OF A WORKING TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS WHO SHARED THE GOAL OF STRUCTURING, MARKETING, DELIVERING AND EVALUATING ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMMING FOR GRADE SCHOOL STUDENTS. FOR A SECOND YEAR, WE HOSTED A HIGH SCHOOL SERVICE INTERN, WHICH WAS EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL FOR BOTH THE STUDENT AND AMP.THE LAST QUARTER OF 2021 FOUND US STRATEGICALLY PLANNING FOR 2022, AND ORGANIZING HOW THE EDUCATION PROGRAMS WOULD CONNECT TO THE FACT THAT AMPS EXHIBIT WILL BE OPENING TO THE PUBLIC IN JUNE 2022.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0EDUCATION PROGRAMSIN ITS 21-YEAR HISTORY, AMP HAS GROWN THROUGH TWO DISTINCT PHASES, EACH WITH A DIFFERENT FOCUS. THE INITIAL YEARS OF CREATING THE MURAL WERE BUILT ON STRATEGIC CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO CREATE EACH USA STATE COLLABORATIVE PROJECT. IN RECENT YEARS, AMP HAS FOCUSED PROGRAMMING EFFORTS ON ESTABLISHING ITS IDENTITY AND AS A PLACE IN THE WINSTED COMMUNITY AND SURROUNDING TOWNS WHERE LEARNING OCCURS. LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, PUBLIC SCHOOLS, LOCAL BUSINESSES AND OTHER ARTS ORGANIZATIONS ARE THE BEDROCK OF AMPS PROGRAM GROWTH. AMP HAS RECRUITED A SMALL, HIGH-CALIBER GROUP OF CONTRACTED TEACHING ARTISTS WHOSE INNOVATIVE IDEAS FOR PROGRAMMING AND PHILOSOPHY OF WORKING WITH STUDENTS REFLECTS AMPS APPROACH TO STUDENT DIRECTED LEARNING AND COLLABORATION.IN 2021, AMP AND MOST NONPROFITS CONTINUED TO FACE SERIOUS CHALLENGES AS ALL LIVE PROGRAMMING REMAINED STALLED THROUGH THE SPRING DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. WE SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMMING TO WINSTEDS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHAMPS PROGRAM, AND TO INDIVIDUAL FAMILIES, THROUGH OUR HIGHLY INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL, REMOTE MODEL. IN-PERSON AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMMING FOR THE CHAMPS PROGRAM BEGAN AGAIN IN THE FALL OF 2021.SUMMER PROGRAMMING, PREVIOUSLY VERY LIMITED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, WAS REINSTATED FOR 2021, BUT NOT AT FULL CAPACITY IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AND WITH MASKING FOR ALL. ALL PROGRAMS WERE OFFERED AND SEVERAL HAD WAITING LISTS, ILLUSTRATING THAT FAMILIES WERE READY TO ENGAGE IN SUMMER ACTIVITIES AGAIN. WE ALSO INTRODUCED A NEW PROGRAM LATIN JAZZ MUSIC FOR OLDER TEENS, WHICH HAD A VERY GOOD RESPONSE.IN-SCHOOL RESIDENCIES THAT HAD BEEN SUSPENDED IN 2020 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC WERE REVISITED AND TWO OF THE THREE WERE TAKEN UP AGAIN IN THE FALL USING VIRTUAL TOOLS AND LIMITED VISITATION AT THE SCHOOLS.AMPS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS AND ITS SCHOOL FIELD TRIP PROGRAMS REMAINED ON HOLD IN 2021, WHILE SCHOOLS CONTINUED TO BE CHALLENGED BY THE PANDEMIC.
