At the same time, the cost of securing major talent has continued to rise. Despite these obstacles, we remain optimistic and committed to our mission, pivoting, adapting, and finding creative ways to serve our community. We continued to present culturally rich programming, keeping our main stage program active with legendary artists, bands, and comedians. In partnership with the city of san leandro and the public library, we hosted a series of independent film screenings, including the apology by mimi chakarova, a powerful documentary on the dismantling of russell city in the 1960s. We also expanded our youth film festival programming, helping to inspire emerging filmmakers, artists, and digital storytellers. Our commitment to underserved communities remains strong. We continued to support local performers with access to professional tools and mentorship to produce, record, and share original music and multimedia works both live and online. We are deeply thankful for our dedicated volunteers, whose ongoing support helps us thrive. We also remain proud of our continued partnerships with the san lorenzo school district's bay area digital arts program, the city of san leandro, alameda county, and the state of california as we work together to ensure the arts remain accessible and relevant to all.”
