The share fund is a charitable outreach program which provides various types of material and financial support to families and individuals in need during emergencies or times of severe hardship.

THE SHARE FUND PROVIDES VARIOUS TYPES OF MATERIAL AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO HOUSEHOLDS TO ADDRESS BASIC NEEDS DURING EMERGENCIES OR TIMES OF SEVERE HARDSHIP. SHARE FOCUSES ON PROVIDING ASSISTANCE WITH THE BASIC NEEDS OF FOOD, SHELTER, AND CLOTHING THROUGH THREE DISTINCT PROGRAMS. GERRY'S EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY PROVIDES FREE FOOD RESOURCES TO FAMILIES IN ROCHESTER, EAST ROCHESTER, GONIC, & FARMINGTON, NH TO PREVENT OR ALLEVIATE HUNGER. IN 2017, 4,183 INDIVIDUALS BENEFITED FROM OUR FOOD PANTRY SERVICES AND 1,206 PEOPLE BENEFITED FROM OUR THANKSGIVING & CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS. OUR COMMUNITY DIAPER BANK DISTRIBUTES FREE DIAPERS TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES THROUGH GERRY'S EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY. A TOTAL OF 9,300 DIAPERS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO 155 CHILDREN IN 2017. EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDES FINANCIAL HELP WITH SHELTER AND EXPENSES TO ENSURE HEALTHY HOMES FOR RESIDENTS OF ROCHESTER, EAST ROCHESTER, GONIC, & FARMINGTON, NH. SPECIFIC SERVICES INCLUDE PAYMENTS TO LANDLORDS FOR BACK RENT TO AVOID EVICTION AND SECURITY DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE TO SECURE HOUSING. IN ADDITION, PAYMENTS TO UTILITY VENDORS ARE MADE FOR HELP WITH ELECTRICITY, GAS, AND WATER TO PREVENT DISCONNECTION AND PAYMENTS TO HEATING FUEL VENDORS TO PROVIDE HEAT AND/OR HOT WATER FOR HOUSEHOLDS WHO HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL OTHER BENEFITS AND RESOURCES FOR FUEL ASSISTANCE. URGENT MEDICAL NEEDS ARE ALSO ADDRESSED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM AND FAMILIES IN NEED ARE ASSISTED WITH EMERGENCY DENTAL OR EYE CARE, MEDICATION, AND NEEDED MEDICAL SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT. IN 2017, 193 INDIVIDUALS BENEFITED FROM SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT SERVICES TO HELP HOUSEHOLDS IMPROVE THEIR FINANCIAL OUTLOOK WHICH INCLUDES STABILIZATION SERVICES, BUDGETING GUIDANCE, FINANCIAL COACHING, GOAL-SETTING & ACTION PLANS, FOLLOW-UP CASE MANAGEMENT, AND INNOVATIVE INCENTIVE PROJECTS TO ENCOURAGE LONG-TERM CHANGES IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT HABITS. THE COMMUNITY CLOTHING SHOP OFFERS FREE SHOPPING FOR FAMILIES IN NEED WITH NO GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTIONS. FAMILIES WHO QUALIFY THROUGH A SIMPLE "VALIDATION REFERRAL SYSTEM" MAY OBTAIN NEEDED CLOTHING, SHOES, & ACCESSORIES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, FURNITURE, AND BOOKS AND TOYS. 3,998 PEOPLE RECEIVED 25,187 FREE ITEMS FROM THIS PROGRAM IN 2017. THE COMMUNITY CLOTHING SHOP IS ALSO A THRIFT STORE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC SEEKING AN AFFORDABLE SHOPPING DESTINATION AND GENERATES PROGRAM INCOME TO SUPPORT THE SHARE FUND'S EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS.$0$127,283

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDES FINANCIAL HELP WITH SHELTER AND EXPENSES TO ENSURE HEALTHY HOMES FOR RESIDENTS OF ROCHESTER, EAST ROCHESTER, GONIC, & FARMINGTON, NH. SPECIFIC SERVICES INCLUDE PAYMENTS TO LANDLORDS FOR BACK RENT TO AVOID EVICTION AND SECURITY DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE TO SECURE HOUSING. IN ADDITION, PAYMENTS TO UTILITY VENDORS ARE MADE FOR HELP WITH ELECTRICITY, GAS, AND WATER TO PREVENT DISCONNECTION AND PAYMENTS TO HEATING FUEL VENDORS TO PROVIDE HEAT AND/OR HOT WATER FOR HOUSEHOLDS WHO HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL OTHER BENEFITS AND RESOURCES FOR FUEL ASSISTANCE. URGENT MEDICAL NEEDS ARE ALSO ADDRESSED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM AND FAMILIES IN NEED ARE ASSISTED WITH EMERGENCY DENTAL OR EYE CARE, MEDICATION, AND NEEDED MEDICAL SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT. IN 2017, 193 INDIVIDUALS BENEFITED FROM SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT SERVICES TO HELP HOUSEHOLDS IMPROVE THEIR FINANCIAL OUTLOOK WHICH INCLUDES STABILIZATION SERVICES, BUDGETING GUIDANCE, FINANCIAL COACHING, GOAL-SETTING & ACTION PLANS, FOLLOW-UP CASE MANAGEMENT, AND INNOVATIVE INCENTIVE PROJECTS TO ENCOURAGE LONG-TERM CHANGES IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT HABITS. THE COMMUNITY CLOTHING SHOP OFFERS FREE SHOPPING FOR FAMILIES IN NEED WITH NO GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTIONS. FAMILIES WHO QUALIFY THROUGH A SIMPLE "VALIDATION REFERRAL SYSTEM" MAY OBTAIN NEEDED CLOTHING, SHOES, & ACCESSORIES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, FURNITURE, AND BOOKS AND TOYS. 3,998 PEOPLE RECEIVED 25,187 FREE ITEMS FROM THIS PROGRAM IN 2017. THE COMMUNITY CLOTHING SHOP IS ALSO A THRIFT STORE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC SEEKING AN AFFORDABLE SHOPPING DESTINATION AND GENERATES PROGRAM INCOME TO SUPPORT THE SHARE FUND'S EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS.
