Mission

The hancock resource center works to stabilize families and strengthen the community. Our mission is accomplished by addressing obstacles and barriers to housing and coordinating services for families in need.

Major Activities

Activity 2
The home rehabilitation program - hrc provides intake, eligibility determination, case management, construction scope definition and estimation, construction coordination, volunteer management and funding for low to moderate income hancock county families that need assistance to repair or rebuild their home. Most repair and rehabilitation projects are related to huuricane damage. Funding sources for rehab. And repair include the coming home collaborative, the little bit left fund from catholic s

Funding from the ms development auth. In 2010 was received for two programs, the housing resource management project and the neighborhood home program. Both programs provide case management for low income residents in hancock county needing assistance with housing. Services included assessment of current housing situation and needs, planning resources and tasks to meet those needs, implementing the planned activities and evaluating outcome of intervention.
