“The mission of blue planet writers room is to inspire students to write, to give them the skills they need to write well, and to offer them fun, effective ways to see their writing come to life. Blue planet believes that good writers can make a difference at three levels: personal, where they can express themselves in a creative and constructive fashion; community, where they can advocate for themselves, their families, and their neighbors; and global, where they can contribute to international cooperation and peace.”

“This year the orgainzation provided services in writing workshops integrated with arts, technology and international collaboration, impacting 94 teachers and afterschool personnel, 1,420 students, 12 teaching artists,and many volunteers. Workshops about bullying awarness, prevention, included gradescool students, in mult-session workshops at 71 different sites.”
