“The mission of blue planet writers room is to inspire students to write, to give them the skills they need to write well, and to offer them fun, effective ways to see their writing come to life. Blue planet believes that good writers can make a difference at three levels: personal, where they can express themselves in a creative and constructive fashion; community, where they can advocate for themselves, their families, and their neighbors; and global, where they can contribute to international cooperation and peace.”

“This year the orgainzation led 27 multi-week writing and arts-based workshops at elementary schools across palm beach county. Three of these centered on creative international collaborations with cultural organizationa in mexico and scotand. Approximately 540 students, 8 teaching artists and 6 volunteers were impacted by these programs.”
