The rights practice's mission is to advance the respect and protection of human rights in practice and is dedicated to working in environments where human rights are most at risk. Our work aims to build the capacity of our local partners (lawyers, ngos, and academic institutions) to advance human rights protection through training, legal assistance, research and advocacy. Projects help to support the development of an evidence base for advocacy drawing on international experience, empirical research and the piloting of new policies and practices.
To advance the respect and protection of human rights in practice-programs address access to access to justice; criminal justice and human rights; and civil society and public participation.
