Income taxes-the organization is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and from state franchise or income tax under section 23701(d) of the revenue and taxation code of the state of california. As such, no provision is made for current or deferred income tax expense.the organization's management has considered its tax positions and believes that all of the positions taken by the organization in its federal and state tax returns are more likely than not to be sustained upon examination.
