Form 990 was provided to Jane Brunt, DVM, Executive Director and CATalyst Council Board of directors for review prior to filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12C

The organization reviews the conflict of interest statement yearly with board members at the annual board meeting. In addition to the discussion board members are required to sign a document yearly that indicates that there are not conflicts of interest. Throughout the year the organization monitors and keeps communication with board members to ensure that conflicts on interest have not arised during the year.

The salary of the Executive Director was reviewed and approved by the independent members of the Board of Directors. Determination was based on several factors: salaries paid to executive directors of similar organizations, the special skills needed to run the organization, and also the organization required the candidate to have a doctorate degree.
