Mission

Catalyst community partners (catalyst) revitalies distressed commercial corridors by developing vacant properties and cultivating sustainable businesses that enhance livability and provide neighborhood jobs. Catalyst began its north minneapolis revitalization work in 2004 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in january 2008. Catalyst focuses on commercial property revitalization, business development and community engagement.

Catalyst has not delegated boaard duties. However, he organization has separate legal agreements with the ackerberg group, norman construction and ackerberg properties for development, construction and prperty management services related to its community property holdings. Service agreements are below market rates and are approved by the board of directors of the organizatio who are fully briefed on all potential conflicts of interest. The ackerberg group and its related companies have no ownership interest in the organizations community property and business holdings.

ITS PROJECTS HAVE RECEIVED EIGHT AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE INCLUDING "2011 NAIOP AWARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR MIXED-USE", PRESENTED IN 2012.
