IRS990/Desc0HEALTH: RW completed construction on Gashora Health Center in the Bugesera District of Rwanda in 2010, which opened for patient care and now serves a population of approximately 22,000 people. RW also opened 1,000 square meter Ngeruka Health Center in Bugesera District in June 2010 in an area where top-quality health facilities were essentially nonexistent. The facility has consistent power, running water, and a laboratory that performs rapid tuberculosis, malaria, and other diagnostic tests. RW made major progress on Juru Health Center in Bugesera District, including overseeing construction, ensuring adequate infrastructure, and providing local employment. RW also continued work on Gataraga Health Center in the Musanze District of Rwanda, and made plans for the completion of a consultation and procedure rooms, a laboratory, maternity ward, hospitalization wing, pharmacy, and HIV/AIDS services. WEALTH: Creation of Rwanda Ventures; Hiring of RV staff; Build and assembled milk collection center and began operations; cultivated local agricultural partnerships; provided practical dairy hygiene education to local Rwandan farmers.
