The map center created an executive committee in october, 2013. The executive committee consists of the chair, vice-chairs and the treasurer of the board of directors. The executive committee have all the powers of the board of directors of the map center except the following: 1. Hire or dismiss the executive director 2. Dissolve or merge the map center 3. Terminate the agreement with the boston public library 4. Relocate the map center 5. Approval of the map center annual budget
