“Autismoklahoma is a non-profit organization that believes that every person with autism is unique and important. Our organization helps individuals with autism reach their full potential, helps families thrive, and helps communities understand and embrace differences.”
“Help individuals with autism reach their potential. Autism oklahoma provides social groups, summer experiences and pre- employment clubs to engage children, teens and young adults in social and pre-employment opportunities. Some of our social groups include heroes, the avengers of autism, teen 2 teen, bowling for differently abled, and connections. We also provided innovative camps to encourage communication and involvement which includes swanky art. Our pre-employment clubs, bee's knees and invisible layers productions create life-changing experiences for young adults with asd. These clubs meet multiple times per week with a professional mentor who assists with creating a team environment as well as teaching skills. These clubs produce amazing results in confidence and in community participation. Helping individuals with autism reach their full potential is a goal of autismoklahoma. Autismoklahoma provides innovative programs to help individuals with autism to engage with others. We continue to make investments by offering a portfolio of programs targeted to individuals on the autsim spectrum.”
“Provide autism awareness and highlighted programming 2022 was a great success for us as an organization and for the thousands we serve. A few highlights include: 1 20th anniversary: twenty years is a big deal from celebrity birthday vieos and a giant birthday party, to enhanced signature events and new programs, our 20th year was one we will nevery forget 2 teens engaged at teen2teen: our teens enjoy developing friendships around common interests while they eat and have fun together each month. We've created a safe place for them to come as they are, and boy, do they come adults on the spectrum attend to volunteer, too. 3 participants become leaders: from spiddrman vs batman, to let's explore restaurants and speaking to crowds at public events, participants are growing in confidence and leading their own groups and their own paths. This is quality of life in action 4 green tea and girl power: the ladies showed up and showed off their voices. It was a beautiful luncheon filled with the honest and unique perspectives of teens with autism along with the special women in their lives. And our adult ladies enjoyed holiday events, made jewelry, and held housewarming parties. 5 the piecewalk: friends, families, and communities celebrated our 20th with the best parties at the piecewalks. Our runner friends celebrated that we were named the new run lucky 5k beneficiary one mile for fun or 3.1 for a medal, we've got something for everyone. 6 kochendorfer cans our art: after attending our duets art show, kochendorfer brewing co. Commissioned original art from a duets pair for their sour wheat cans and held a launch party at their brewery. The art of beer kicked off autism acceptance month in april. 7 named pga tour beneficiary: compliance solutions, inc. Named us their charity of choice and the charity partner for the pga korn ferry compliance solutions championship. We look forward to expanding our audience, programs, and opportunities through this extraordinary experience. 8 more than 700 volunteers: the heart and soul of our programs and events are our dedicated volunteers. From blast pen-pals to duets artists and piecewalk committee members, volunteers make our world go round. Our friends at life.church provide about 200 volunteers per month 9 young adults mixed-n-mingled: we found the secret sauce, and it's the creation of a safe and fun place to make friends. We have famnilies driving from the texas border so their child can participate. We are seeing lives being changed. Our participants and staff made memories at chicken n pickle. 10 doing great things in tulsa: t-town is rocking it with social groups for teens and adults, sensory-friendly holiday events, the piecewalk, family events, drive fore autism, and an active parent network, great things are happening and quality of life is improving for our friends in the tulsa area.”
