IRS990/Desc0Abolition: Breaking Chains actively works to eliminate human trafficking - it does this in the following ways: Breaking Chains conducts investigations and works with various law enforcement agencies in an effort to better coordinate information between them. We have assisted in the rescue of over 1,800 women and children since our inception. Breaking Chains also recruits, trains and sends missionaries to Latin America, who conduct field work, and who assist in discovering women and children that are victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation. In addition, the ministry proactively raises awareness of the plight of human trafficking through speaking engagements, events and other activities.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0Aftercare: Breaking Chains works to bring healing, deliverance, and restoration to victims of human trafficking and prostitution. For this purpose, we have developed a specialized aftercare model. Acting as a mission sending organization, Breaking Chains works to recruit missionaries to work directly with victims. We also developed a day program to disciple adult victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation. The program, when implemented in Central America, had a demonstrated 65% success rate, and brought transformation to entire families torn apart by sexual abuse and exploitation. Graduates of our day program have proven very effective in identifying and reaching out to other trafficking victims, thereby increasing our impact.
