Mission

Pennsylvania interfaith impact network (piin) is a faith-based organization whose mission is to work in collaboration with others to maximize human potential and attain justice and equality of opportunity for all persons in the greater pittsburgh region. The organization has an interfaith, multi- racial, and economically diverse membership, drawn from both urban and suburban areas. It employs community organizing and issue advocacy to address the root causes of problems and bring about systemic changes. Piin endeavors to empower congregations and other member organizations to leverage influence upon institutions and systems in order to bring about equitable access to public services as well as economic and community development which benefits the community.

Governments, replacing suburban sprawl and inner city abandonment with smart growth. 4.transit expenses related to the work of the transit taskforce or piin leadership to improve the quality of public transit in the region. Expenses related to the gamaliel transit campaign (ten.) 5.gun violence expenses related to the work of the gun violence task force or piin leadership to address issues of gun violence, community/police relations, and police diversity or anti racial profiling. 6.leadership development expenses related to local and national training of leaders. Hills. Another cluster is ready to form in the eastern suburbs of monroeville and penn hills, and we are also engaging congregations in the south hills. Our goal is to build a strong base in all parts of the county as well as adjacent counties. If piin and its partners are to fundamentally improve the situation of our congregations and communities, we will need a base that can influence decisions in the county, the region, and the state.

Pennsylvania interfaith impact network accounts for uncertainty in income taxes using a recognition threshold of more-likely-than-not to be sustained upon examination by the appropriate taxing authority. Measurement of the tax uncertainty occurs if the recognition threshold is met. Management determined that there were no tax uncertainties that met the recognition threshold in fiscal year 2014. The organization's irs forms 990 is subject to review for three years subsequent to the date filed.
