The community action association of pennsylvania (caap) is a statewide association representing and assisting the 42 community action agencies in pa as they work to empower families and individuals, giving them the opportunity to gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Caap acts as a statewide voice for local community action agencies and low-income citizens, addressing policy issues of importance to them.

Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the association. Management evaluated the tax positions taken and concluded that the association had taken no uncertain tax positions that require recognition or disclosure in the financial statements. No provision or benefit for income taxes has been included in these financial statements. With few exceptions, the association is no longer subject to income tax examinations by the u.s. Federal, state or local tax authorities for years before june 30, 2015.
