“The cco's board of directors reviews the irs form 990 that is filed on the organization's behalf within 90 days of it being filed with the irs. “The cfo shall ensure that all directors, officers, agents, employees, and independent contractors of the organization are made aware of the organization's policy with respect to conflicts of interest. On an annual basis all directors, officers, and executive leadership team are required to file a conflict of interest disclosure annual reporting statement.”
“The chief executive's compensation is reviewed and approved on an annual basis by the executive committee of the board of directors and approved by the board of directors. Both approvals are noted in the minutes of these meetings. Salaries for executive management, organizational leadership, support staff, and ministry staff are reviewed and ranges established with guidance from a variety of sources including bureau of labor statistics occupational employment and wage statistics, most notably for directors, religious activities, and education, christian leadership alliance's leadership compensation report, bayer center's wage and benefit survey, guidestar's nonprofit compensation report, among other resources. Establishment of final salary within the range will be by discussion between the human resources team and the direct supervisor, direct supervisor's supervisor and the vice president for people. Salaries for campus ministry personnel and operational staff are determined based on salary ranges that are reviewed and approved on an annual basis by the governance committee of the board of directors and approved by the full board of directors. Both approvals are noted in the minutes of these meetings. Salaries are determined by the individual's overall professional experience and years of experience in ministry. Additionally, the cco annually evaluates the states in which it does business to ensure that the salary ranges are appropriate for the cost of living in each area. Efforts are made to evaluate this with resources from the bureau of labor statistics as well as state based agencies, and other resources that track cost of living indices. Each salary range level is calculated beginning with a starting base pay. The organizational leadership offers recommendations to supervisory staff for cost of living salary increases as well as guidance to supervisors for merit increases for employees whose performance warrants it.”
“The organization posts the form 990 and financial statements to their website.”
“Financial statements and a link to guidestar where our 990 is available are posted on our website.”
“There have been no changes to the oversight and selection processes from the prior year.”
“In accordance with asc no. 740 as it relates to uncertain tax positions for the year ended august 31, 2025, management has analyzed the tax positions taken and has concluded that there are no uncertain tax positions that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the financial statements. Cco believes that it is no longer subject to income tax examinations for years prior to august 31, 2022.”
