IPM is exempt from income taxes under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code and a similar provision of Ohio state law. However, IPM is subject to federal income tax on any unrelated business taxable income. IPM's IRS Form 990 is subject to review and examination by federal and state authorities. IPM believes it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and therefore, does not have any uncertain income tax positions that are material to the financial statements.

IRS990/Desc0To meet the growing need in the community during the COVID-19 crisis, IPM quickly began operating a Drive-Through Food Pantry to ensure that every person has safe and easy access to food including fresh produce, dairy, eggs and meat. Additionally, IPM became a Food Resource Hub for over 45 school districts and social service agencies (i.e., Veterans Affairs and WIC) by coordinating distribution and delivery of emergency food boxes for those living in more remote corners of IPM's service area. IPM also expanded its footprint to provide 30 Mobile Food Pantries in underserved communities.
