Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6

The corporation has one class of members. A Member is any adult (age 18 or older) residing within the fire district of The Sherrill Fire Protection Association. The Prospective member must submit an application for membership on the form prescribed by the Board of Directors and pay the requisite application fee as established by the Board of Directors.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7A

Four at-large directors are elected from the general membership of the corporation.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 8B

The Organization does not have committees with authority to act on behalf of the governing body.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11B

The Treasurer of the Board reviews the Form 990 prior to filing, but a copy of the return is not provided to the entire board prior to filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12C

Officers and Directors of the board are required to sign a conflict of interest policy annually. They must make known to the board any conflict or potential conflict. The Secretary and Treasurer review the policies. Any Director having a conflict of interest must abstain from voting and is not counted in determining the quorum for the vote on the matter. The minutes of the meeting reflect the disclosure, the abstention from voting, and the quorum situation.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19

The Organization's governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statement are not available to the public, however financial information may be obtained from the Form 990.
