Our mission is to educate, inspire and witness to the church and community by collecting, preserving and sharing the anabaptist/mennonite story.

The mission of the mennonite historians of eastern pennsylvania is to collect, preserve, and interpret the anabaptist-mennonite heritage in order to educate, inspire, and witness to the church and broader community.

The organization evaluates all significant tax positions as required by accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america. Using that guidance, tax positions initially need to be recognized in the financial statements when it is more-likely-than-not the position will be sustained upon examination by the taxing authorities. As of december 31, 2013, the organization does not believe that there are any tax liabilities that need to be recognized. The organization's open tax audit periods are for the proceeding three years from december 31, 2013.

THE LIBRARY COLLECTION CONSISTS OF BOOKS AND PERIODICALS ABOUT MENNONITE CULTURE, HISTORY AND THEOLOGY PERTAINING TO LOCAL CHURCH AND COMMUNITY HISTORY, AS WELL AS PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN MATERIALS, FAMILY BIBLES, HYMNALS, MAPS, BROADSIDES, CHARTS, PRINTS, SONGBOOKS AND AUDIO AND VISUAL RECORDINGS. THE ARCHIVAL COLLECTION CONSISTS OF MATERIALS SUCH AS CONGREGATION AND CONFERENCE RECORDS AND PERSONAL, FAMILY OR BUSINESS PAPERS SUCH AS ACCOUNT BOOKS, DIARIES, LETTERS AND OTHER MANUSCRIPTS.
