Officers are directors are trained regarding potential conflict of interest situations, and are required to disclose any potential conflict of interest yearly at the annual board of directors training meeting. Key employees are trained twice a year regarding conflict of interest situations, and are required and encouraged to disclose or report any conflict of interest at any time they become aware of such.

The organization also consults with an independent human resource specialists to obtain guidance about the fair market value of the top official's skills set and experience. Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

The organization is exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been recorded in these financial statements. In addition, fasb asc 740 "income taxes" provides the accounting standard for uncertainty in income taxes, which addresses the determination of whether tax benefits claimed or expected to be claimed on a tax return should be recorded in the financial statements. Under this guidance, the organization may recognize the tax benefit from an uncertain tax position only if it is more likely than not that the tax position will be sustained on examination by taxing authorities, based on the technical merits of the position. Examples of tax positions include the tax-exempt status of the organization and positions related to the potential unrelated business taxable income (ubit). At september 30, 2020, there were no unrecognized tax benefits identified or recorded as liabilities.
