The florida humanities council was formed to support activities that foster public involvement and appreciation of the humanities among the citizens of the state.(continued on schedule o) its mission - to build strong communities and informed citizens by providing floridians with the opportunity to explore the heritage, traditions and stories of our state and its place in the world - is achieved by re-granting and administering funds awarded by the national endowment for the humanities for educational and cultural programs and by providing public humanities education for the people and communities of florida.

Once that is complete and approved to be sent to the full board, a copy of the 990 form is emailed to the entire board for their review prior to the board meeting. The 990 form is approved by the full board for submission to the irs at a board meeting.”
