“There are four classes of membership in the alliance; two of which have the right to elect members of the organization's governing body: 1. National evangelical alliance (ne): a representative body of evangelicals in a country can apply for membership as an nea. If accepted as a member by its regional alliance, the nea will automatically become a member of wea. Where there is no regional alliance in the region the applicant applies directly to the wea. Unless exceptionally agreed by the international council (the "council"), a country can only have one nea as a member of the wea. 2. Regional alliances are members of wea made up of national alliances in a specific global region.”

“Changes to the bylaws and termination of a member are decisions reserrved to the national and regional evangelical alliance members.”

Each director, principal officer, and member of a committee with governing board delegated powers is required to annually disclose any interests that could give rise to conflict. After disclosure of a conflict, the individual in question must recuse themselves from voting on the matter. Conflicts are determined and reviewed by the board of trustees. Matters involving conflicts of interest are documented in the minutes of the board meeting.”
