Activity 2

Mental Health provides services to children, through age 21, to address serious and chronic mental health disorders. The services are designed to improve the symptoms and restore or enhance daily adaptive functioning and are available to children that have a current diagnosis that is medically necessary to treat. Pathway's mental health services facilitate an appropriate match between the needs of children served and are provided in the least restrictive environment available. While interventions are tailored to individual needs, Pathway employs varied therapeutic and educational interventions including individual, family, and/or group service modalities and appropriate self-help referrals while maintaining respect for socio-cultural values, personal goals, lifestyle choices, and complex family interactions and promotes the freedom of choice among therapeutic alternatives for each child.

Activity 3

The Family Home program is designed to provide a stable home for boys or girls ages 12-18 who cannot currently reside in their own home or in a treatment foster home. Pathway seeks to provide a group family living experience with no more than 4 youth in the home with a program of specialized services for each youth. Each youth who is accepted can feel safe and respected, and learn to be responsible for themselves and their actions. Live-in House Parents provide 24/7 care for the youth placed in a Family Home. The Family Home works well with multi-needs children with more than one area of concern. These areas of concern may include: attachment disorder behaviors, sexually reactive behaviors, low to moderate risk sex offending history, abuse or abandonment issues, severe behavioral, emotional, and/or unruly problems, and drug and/or alcohol problems which can be treated on an outpatient basis.
