The Foundation and six other funders began meeting to address these issues. In February 2012, with the support of a core group of funders, the Palm Beach County Food Bank incorporated and absorbed a locally-led Community Food Truck Operation. The Palm Beach County Food Bank moved into its first refrigerated warehouse in September 2012 and the organization as we know it today was born. The Palm Beach County Food Bank is committed to being a strong leader for their stakeholders and organizations that join them in addressing the issues surrounding hunger in Palm Beach County. There is a collective resolve in working together to help children, families, and seniors in our community have grown tremendously. The Food Bank was awarded $25,000 which is being used to support their general operations. |
