As one of Florida's largest community foundations, the Community Foundation has awarded $129 million in grants and scholarships over its 44-year history. HELPING OUR DONORS MAKE AN IMPACT For donors, the Community Foundation offers philanthropic guidance, leadership and stewardship that is rooted in a deep knowledge of our community. We help our donors fulfill their philanthropic vision and honor their passions -- whether it's responding to an urgent need, supporting a particular cause or organization, creating a family legacy or partnering in a Community Foundation initiative. Together, we address challenges, seek solutions and provide support to create vibrant communities where individuals and families flourish. Through the generosity of our donors, we award millions in grants and scholarships each year that continue to build and strengthen the communities we live in and love. STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITIES For the community, the Community Foundation serves as a grant maker and a civic leader. We award grants to local organizataions to help meet community needs, fulfill our donors' philanthropic wishes and strengthen the nonprofit sector. Using local knowledge, networks, influence and creativity, the Community Foundation brings people together to improve the community's quality of life now and in the future. We challenge our nonprofit partners to create innovative proposals, engage in dialogue to discover new opportunities and provide ideas for collective solutions. PROVIDING COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP We are involved in Palm Beach and Martin counties by encouraging conversations, asking questions and bringing community partners together to address critical issues affecting our children, families and neighborhoods. We forge productive partnerships to develop sustainable solutions to tackle the many challenges facing our communities, and are willing to take risks and make long-term investments for positive change. Through the support of our donors and fundholders, the Community Foundation has been able to address some of the community's most pressing needs, including hunger, housing and education.”

| IRS990/Desc | 0 | HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICESHouse of Hope's Golden Gate Center for Enrichment offers programs, classes and informational sessions in education, vocational training, life skills, health and nutrition, arts and culture and library services to the Golden Gate neighborhood. The Center offers a vast array of services and programs to help residents live a better life, paving the way to breaking the cycle of poverty. More than $3 million was raised in a single day for 507 local nonprofits during the third year of the Great Give Palm Beach and Martin Counties. The 24-hour online fundraising event held May 3 was hosted by the Community Foundation, United Way of Palm Beach County and United Way of Martin County. The final total raised in this event was over $3.2 million and included the money raised through online donations that day, as well as additional funds raised by the nonprofits through match challenges and checks that were not contributed via the website. It also included over $315,000 in bonus funds raised by the Community Foundation that was divided and awarded to every participating nonprofit based on the total they raised. Community foundations across the country participated in the giving event in partnership with Give Local America. |
