A change was made to the following items on the beginning balance sheet:1. Cash increased by $5,6012. Accounts payable increased by $15,2893. Unrestricted net assets was increased by $248,8424. Temporarily restriced net assets was increased by $12,6115. Permanently restriced net assets was decreased by $271,141.Net Assets at the beginning of the year was $481,343 and not $475,704 as shown on previously filed Form 990 for 2016.”

“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Hall of FameThe PO&S Hall of Fame is an educational exhibit that recognizes distinguished achievements in order to honor service and preserve stories, as well as to educate and inspire the next generation. In biographical sketches and portraits on display in this traveling and online exhibit, visitors get a glimpse of the legacies of extraordinary people who devoted their lives to improving vision care for children, so that children could have a life with good sight. CEF staff facilitate collection of award nominations, and collects biographies and photos of Hall of Fame exhibit and awards program. We work with the HOF committee to edit biographies to ensure consistency and quality. We manage vendor relationship to produce the video, traveling panels and update the online exhibit on time and in budget. We manage vendor payments and relationships with professional production companies. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: CEF AwardsParks Medal, Champions for Vision and Costenbader LectureshipCEF celebrates the achievements of these prestigious award honorees at an annual Parks Medalist Gala, held during the AAPOS meeting. Ticket sales are being planned to be integrated as part of AAPOS meeting registration. Event details are managed by CEF staff, and an Event Committee is charged with generating enthusiasm and buzz about this fun event, collecting sponsorships and silent auction items, and promoting ticket sales to achieve our goal of selling at least 400 tickets to the 2019 Gala. This event also includes a Silent Auction. Event planning details managed by CEF staff include oversight of venue and entertainment contracts, ticketing, communication and promotion, silent auction and event logistics, post-event analysis and reporting. CEF staff assist with event coordination and venue selection.”
