The center for housing bylaws were amended as follows. Article iii, section 2: the members of the board of directors shall be the members of the executive committee of the national housing conference (nhc), each serving ex officio. Article iv, section1: the officers of the center shall consist of a chairman, vice-chair, secretary and chair of the audit committee, who shall be, respectively, the nhc chair, the nhc vice chair, the nhc secretary, and the nhc chair of the audit committee each to have such duties and authority as are provided in these by laws. The board of directors may designate other officers as it may determine.

The chp board of directors adopted a resolution effective december 31, 2013 to transfer chp assets to the national housing conference. The nhc executive committee would serve as the board of directors. The nhc board of governors adopted a resolution effective december 31, 2013 to agree to the transfer of assets of its research affiliate the center for housing policy (chp) to the national housing conference, as well as receiving three independent board members from chp on to the nhc board.
