Mission

Collects, preserves, interprets and exhibits primarily american art, and promotes the work of nationally and internationally known delaware valley artists of all eras and creative disciplines. The museum presents exhibitions that explore a variety of artistic expressions and offers diverse educational programs that develop a lifelong involvement in the arts.

Enforcement and monitoring of the conflict of interest policy the conflict of interest policy is given to all board members and key employees on an annual basis. The policy is reviewed and signed. If a conflict of interest is raised, the matter is brought to the attention of the full board where it is discussed and decided whether a conflict exists. Method to record the works of art works of art acquired either through purchase or donation are not capitalized. Accordingly, the cost of collection items purchased is reported as a decrease in net assets and proceeds from the sale of collection items are reported as an increase in net assets.

PART III, LINE 4:

How to further the museum's exempt purpose the museum collects both historic and contemporary works by artists from the bucks county region. The collection serves as the core resource for the myriad exhibitions that educate the community about the region's artistic heritage. As the principal resource for information about and research on bucks county artists, the museum actively collects archival materials and maintains research files on more than 1,500 regional artists of all creative disciplines.

PART V, LINE 4:

Intended use of the museum's endowment funds the endowments provide financial support for collection care, acquisition, and other purposes.

PART X, LINE 2:

Uncertain tax positions under asc 740 generally accepted accounting principles prescribe a minimum recognition threshold that a tax position is required to meet in order to be recognized in the financial statements. The museum believes that it had no uncertain tax positions as defined in the standard and, as a result, the adoption of the standard had no impact on the museum's financial statements.
