It is working with city of philadelphia and other stakeholders on a comprehensive master plan that will unlock the parkway's potential as vibrant park space for all. It is further working to build a coalition that will help realize these plans and improve the long-term management of the parkway and surrounding cultural district. 2)the parkway council works to introduce new users to the parkway through programming and outreach. Activities include parkway presents, which showcases philadelphia's cultural diversity through free public performances on the parkway, and the oval pop-up park and festival (in partnership with philadelphia parks and recreation), which transforms eakins oval each summer into a vibrant park space with family-friendly programming, a beer garden, and art installations.”
