“The paea board of directors reviewed and amended our constitution and by- laws through several face-to-face meetings. Regionally, paea offers professional development for art educators. We work with the pennsylvania department of education, bureau of curriculum, assessment and instruction and naea (the national art education association) as well as numerous colleges, universities and k-12 schools across the state of pennsylvania. We also collaborate with pennsylvania arts advocacy groups, promoting arts and culture advocacy. The paea 2019 conference was held in state college and hosted over 300 art educators. The conference featured approximately 90 sessions, hands-on workshops, museum tours, and art education-related vendors.”

“At the summer 2019 board meeting, the board of directors continued the work of enacting tasks related to the 2015-2018 strategic plan, such as improving our branding and communications via our website and social media.
