Mission

Jack m. Barrack hebrew academy is a pluralistic jewish day school for students in grades six through twelve from a broad variety of backgrounds. The school integrates a comprehensive and rigorous college preparatory curriculum with the teaching of essential jewish and american values and texts. Barrack graduates value diversity, celebrate the richness of judaism's language, culture, and history, and have a strong connection to israel. Barrack prepares future leaders of the american, jewish, and global communities who work for a better world through acts of justice and compassion.

Organization is a pluralistic jewish day school with a college prep curriculum & jewish studies.

PART V, LINE 4:

Income from endowments are primarily used for scholarships to students.

PART X, LINE 2:

Asc topic 740 accounting for uncertainty in income taxes clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an entity's financial statements and prescribes a recognition threshold of more-likely-than-not to be sustained upon examination by the appropriate taxing authority. Measurement of the tax uncertainty occurs if the recognition threshold has been met. The guidance also provides guidance on derecognition, classification, interest and penalties, accounting in interim periods, and disclosure. The academy's policy is to account for interest and penalties related to unrecognized tax benefits as a component of income tax expense.
