The monroe foundation was established to assist individuals in the pursuit of higher education, at the institution of their choice, and to further other important educational purposes. It accomplishes its mission by granting scholarships to needy students enrolled in institutions of higher education to help them defray the cost of tuition and participate in educational enrichment activities, and to reward academic achievement. The monroe foundation also provides grants to other worthy educational institutions.
