Homefront's mission is to end homelessness in central nj by harnessing the caring, resources & expertise of the community. We are committed to ameliorating the immediate pain of homelessness & to help families with children become self sufficient by providing skills & opportunities to find a living wage job & the availability of adequate affordable housing.

The organization lessens the immediate pain of homelessness and helps families become self-sufficient. Homefront works to give its clients the skills and opportunities to ensure adequate incomes, and works to increase the availability of adequate, affordable housing. Homefront helps homeless families advocate for themselves individually and collectively.

The organization is a not-for-profit organization that is exempt from federal and state income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and comparable state law. The organization follows standards that provide clarification on accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in the organization's financial statements. The guidance prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return, and also provides guidance on de-recognition, classification, interest and penalties, disclosure and transition. The organization's policy is to recognize interest and penalties on unrecognized tax benefits in income tax expense. No interest and penalties were recorded during the year ended september 30, 2018. At september 30, 2018, there are no significant income tax uncertainties.

THIS NEW "VILLAGE OF HEALING AND HOPE" OFFERS A ONE-STOP APPROACH TO SERVICES AND IS UNLIKE ANYTHING IN THE NORTHEAST.
