Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Line 2:

The Internal Revenue Service has determined that the Organization is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is not considered a private foundation. There was no unrelated business income for the years ended December 31,2020 and 2019. The Organization is also exempt from state income taxes under the Charitable Fundraising Act of 1971. Management has evaluated uncertain tax positions taken by the Organization. The financial statement effects of a tax position are recognized when the position is more likely than not, based on the technical merits, to be sustained upon examination by the Internal Revenue Service or other taxing authority. The Organization has recognized no interest or penalties related to uncertain tax positions. The Organization is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. Management believes it is no longer subject to income tax examinations for years prior to 2016.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0The Internal Revenue Service has determined that the Organization is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is not considered a private foundation. There was no unrelated business income for the years ended December 31,2020 and 2019. The Organization is also exempt from state income taxes under the Charitable Fundraising Act of 1971. Management has evaluated uncertain tax positions taken by the Organization. The financial statement effects of a tax position are recognized when the position is more likely than not, based on the technical merits, to be sustained upon examination by the Internal Revenue Service or other taxing authority. The Organization has recognized no interest or penalties related to uncertain tax positions. The Organization is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. Management believes it is no longer subject to income tax examinations for years prior to 2016.
