World against toys causing harm, inc. ("w.a.t.c.h.") is a nonprofit organization dedicated to children's causes. Through education, informational programs, printed materials, audio/video presentations and research (particularly into the etiology of injuries to children and to the dangers presented to children by ordinary and by hazardous products, including playthings) w.a.t.c.h. HAS COMMENCED PLANS AS DESCRIBED BELOW TO INCREASE ITS FUNDRAISING TO REACH A BROAD SPECTRUM OF PUBLIC SUPPORT. W.A.T.C.H. FUNDRAISES ON A CONTINUING BASIS IN ORDER TO CONSTANTLY TRY TO APPEAL TO NEW AND OLD DONORS. W.A.T.C.H. MAINTAINS FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS TO HELP SUPPORT ITS WORK, INCLUDING EFFORTS TO PRODUCE AND DISSEMINATE SAFETY INFORMATION. IT SOLICITS FUNDS USING ONLINE MARKETING PLATFORMS, SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS, IN-PERSON FUNDRAISING EVENTS AND DIRECT APPEALS IN WHICH DONATIONS ARE SOLICITED FROM INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE DONATED TO THE ORGANIZATION IN PRIOR YEARS AS WELL AS NEW POTENTIAL DONORS. IN 2019, PROMOTING A CAMPAIGN CALLED #SHOUTSAFETY, DONATIONS WERE SOLICITED THROUGH TWO ONLINE MARKETING EFFORTS (VIA CONSTANT CONTACT), INDIVIDUAL SOCIAL MEDIA FUNDRAISERS (VIA FACEBOOK), A FUNDRAISING EVENT, AND PERSONAL SOLICITATIONS (EMAILS AND CALLS) IN AN EFFORT TO ACQUIRE NEW DONORS TO THE ORGANIZATION. AS A RESULT OF AN INAUGURAL IN-PERSON FALL FUNDRAISING BRUNCH, OVER 42% OF DONATIONS IN 2019 WERE FROM NEW DONORS WHO EITHER ATTENDED OR RECEIVED NOTICE OF DONATION OPPORTUNITIES RELATING TO THE EVENT. FUNDRAISING EFFORTS ARE FUELED IN PART BY THE PUBLIC'S INTEREST IN RECEIVING CHILD SAFETY INFORMATION. IN 2020, W.A.T.C.H. IS ALSO PLANNING ACQUISITIONS THAT WILL REACH OUT TO INDIVIDUALS WITH AN EYE TOWARDS TARGETING EXPANDED GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS AND/OR GROUPS NOT PREVIOUSLY ENGAGED.
