They want to be cool but are not quite ready or are all-too-quick to define what cool is. Raw is a safe, accepting space that also sets boundaries on how to be cool without being hurtful. High school - even through high school years, teens still long to belong. The magic at raw is the huge diversity of groups and the meaningful celebration of that diversity. Our oldest participants, many of them first and second generation immigrants, are encouraged to own and share their unique culture and story of self through their artworks.
