The Coalition of Juvenile Justice (CJJ) envisions a nation where fewer children are at risk of delinquency; and if they are at risk or involved with the justice system, they and their families receive every possible opportunity to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives.
The coalition for juvenile justive (cjj) envisions a nation where fewer children are at risk of delinquency; and if they are at risk or involved with the justice system , they and their familes receive every possible opportunity to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives. Cjj is a nationwide coalition of state advisory groups (sags) and allies dedicated to preventing children and youth from becoming invloved in the courts and upholding the highest standards of care when youth are charged with wrongdoing and enter the justice system.

“State advisory members of the coalition for juvenile justice shall consist of the members of the state juvenile justice advisory gropus (sags) of all states and territories participating in the juvenile justice and delinquency prevention act, as well as a juvenile justice specialist of sag-designated state staff person. Members at large of the coalition for juvenile justice are individuals assocated with or interested in the juvenile justice system who may actively participate in the coalition as non-voting members upon payment of annual dues.”

The guidance prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return, and also provides guidance on derecognition, classification, interest and penalties, accounting in interim periods, disclosure, and transition. As of december 31, 2014, the coalition had no uncertain tax positions that qualify for either recognition or disclosure in its financial statements. The coalition's policy is to recognize interest and penalties on tax positions related to its unrecognized tax benefits in income tax expense in the financial statements. No interest and penalties were recorded during the year ended december 31, 2014.”

CJJ HOSTS AN ANNUAL HILL DAY IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUR NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON, DC.CJJ IS A MEMBER OF AND WORKS CLOSELY IN COLLABORATION WITH THE NATIONAL JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION COALITION (NJJDPC). THE NJJDPC IS A COLLABORATIVE ARRAY OF YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVING, SOCIAL JUSTICE, LAW ENFORCEMENT, CORRECTIONS, AND FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATIONS. THE COALITION WORKS TO ENSURE HEALTHY FAMILIES, BUILD STRONG COMMUNITIES, AND IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY BY PROMOTING FAIR AND EFFECTIVE POLICIES, PRACTICES, AND PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH INVOLVED OR AT RISK OF BECOMING INVOLVED IN THE JUVENILE AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEMS. CJJ STAFF SERVES ON THE NJJDPC STEERING COMMITTEE AND ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES IN ACT 4 JJ, THE YOUTH PROMISE ACTION TASK FORCE, AND THE SCHOOL SAFETY WORKING GROUPS OF THE COALITION. |
