Activity 2

Employment programs: scarc provides an array of day programs, specifically designed to support people with varying levels of support needs. Serving approximately 180 adults with disabilities in 8 day program locations, plus our employment connections community work program, scarc takes the lead in sussex county for employment of individuals with developmental disabilities. In addition to scarc's employment focus, scarc's harvest home food and clothing programs allow opportunities for adults with disabilities to distribute food and clothing to over 800 needy families throughout the county each month.

Activity 3

Community services: scarc's community services include numerous family support programs, both in-home and community-based supports for children, teens and adults. Also included in scarc's community focus are the popular recreation programs. Recreational activities are typically held in small groups to enhance interpersonal relationships with others who are involved in the scarc family of services. Some of these events include various outings, dining out, art and music classes, hiking, sports activities and participation in special olympics. Scarc's larger group recreation activities are held on a periodic and seasonal basis to allow for people to engage in holiday celebrations, dances, picnics and outings.
