Major Activities

Activity 2

Aquatics and Adult physical, Swim and diving teams. The Y IS a leading vOice on health and well-being. We bring families closer together, encourage good health,and foster connections through fitness, sports, fun, and shared interests. As a result, over 3,000 people in our community are receiving the support, guidance andresources they need to achieve greater health in spirit, mind and body. This is particularly important as our nation struggles with an obesity crisis, families struggle with work/life balance, and individuals search for personal fulfillment. Our programs are accessible, affordable and open to all faiths, backgrounds, abilities, and income levels During the year we provided over $300,000 In financial assistance to people who otherwise would have faced economic barriers to participation in our programs.

Activity 3

Membership programs Our Y believes that social responsibility is giving back and being there for the community. As a leading non-profit organization in our community, we strive to act as a leader in community development. We have initiated several new community collaborations with other non-profits, government agencies, school dlstricts and for-profit companies. It is through these efforts that we are able to expand our reach and scope of service to the community. We have been able to deliver training, resources and support that empower our neighbors to affect changes, bridge gaps, and overcome obstacles. In 2012, we engaged over 1100 YMCA members, participants and volunteers in activities that strengthen our communities and pave the way for future generations to thrive.
