The income guidelines follow the most recent poverty levels. The scholarships are on first come, first serve basis. When funding is exhausted, no more scholarships will be granted. Children must attend a preschool that participates in our predefined quality standards to receive a full scholarship. An application is completed to gather the appropriate information. Applicants must be Dubuque County residents or may qualify if they choose a qualifying Dubuque County preschool and if their current county's program does not cover this. If the child moves out of the area, the scholarship may end. The preschool must have full licensure from the Department of Human Services or the Department of Education. The full scholarship is the full cost the preschool would normally charge the parent. The preschool provider must submit a claim form and request for payment for services to the program facilitator for payment following the month services were provided. This is how the Organization ensures the funds are used appropriately. |
