| In 2019 Theatre Y produced Self-Accusation by Peter Handke, and our first fully devised work The Camino Project. Both shows were sold out with waitlists and rave reviews. We obtained our first MacArthur International Connections Fund Grant to bring our Camino Project to Serbia in the future. We grew and diversified our board and ensemble to 21 members each. The Camino Project combined a five-mile walk through Bucktown and Humboldt Park, a celebratory meal, and performative events that blended theater, dance, and performance art, The Camino Project is a thoroughly unique invention that challenges the confines of traditional spectatorship and asks audiences and performers alike to imagine how to be together beyond politics, beyond consumerism, and even beyond the theater itself. | $97,630 | $51,900 |
