“Some time after filing the 2020 990EZ return for Hands Across Nations (HAN) the Bookkeeper/CPA resigned. The 2020 return filing date had been extended to Nov 15 of 2021. The Bookkeeper/CPA did not complete and file the 2020 return until March 7, 2022. The Bookkeeper/CPA resigned some time after that. This left HAN little time to secure a new CPA. The numerous inquires to find a new CPA were futile as in each case the CPA's we approached were already booked up. Contacting and making appointments with CPA's was time consuming and the deadline of Nov 14 was approaching. As a result, we began to prepare the 2021 990EZ ourselves. This was a daunting task to find, download, read and understand the extensive IRS rules and regulations. We did not feel we had done the process justice when we filed the 2021 return late on Nov 23, 2022. As we prepared for the next year's 2022 990EZ return, we continued to come to an understanding of the rules and regulations and feel we understand how to prepare the 990EZ correctly. We have amended this 2021 return to make sure it correctly reflects the facts. There are notes in Schedule O regarding the various amendments. We are pleased to have the bookkeeping and filing of the 990EZ in good order moving forward. As a note: HAN has a broad community base of individuals supporting it who's contributions each are less than the 2% and accumulate to far above the 33 1/3 % threshold. Thank You”

“Bank Fees and Curancy Exchange Fees”
“The amount on line 19 reported as "closing net assets or fund balance" at the end of the year 2020 by the former CPA could be a misclassification. All revenue, money, or income coming into Hands Across Nations (HAN) is deposited in the HAN Bank Accounts. All expenditures going out come from the Bank Accounts in the form of an instrument such as a check, by debit card, bank Transfer, or ATM machine. As a result the beginning balance January 1st of HAN bookkeeping should be the same as the the opening balance January 1st of the bank statements. The Dec 31 HAN bookkeeping closing balance should also agree with the Dec 31 closing bank statements. The former CPA/Bookkeeper showed a closing value for Dec 31, 2020 on the 2020 990EZ as $37,049. However, the bank statements shows a closing balance for Dec 31, 2020 as $26,759. The opening bank statement Jan 1, 2021 was $26,759, which is a difference of $10,290. We have shown this as a -$10,290 change in fund balance for this 990EZ 2021 line 20.”

| IRS990ScheduleA/Form990ScheduleAPartVIGrp/ExplanationTxt | 0 | Regarding the 33 1/3 % PUBLIC SUPPORT TEST calculation. In 2022 Hands Across Nations (HAN) received past bookkeeping documents (2020 and older) from the former CPA/Bookkeeper who resigned. There are a number of items that we cannot account for from incomplete documents during that Bookkeeper's/CPA's tenure going back from 2020 for many years. In 2021 we began a fresh and well documented approach to HAN's bookkeeping with new personnel. Regarding the support schedule in 2021 we could have reported in 2 different ways: 1_ Report using all donations under 2% of all the donors or 2_ We could have excluded 2 unusually large donors. (The definition of large is a bit ambiguous) 3_ With the straight 2% method we would have arrived at a support of 55.2% of all contributions below 2% of the total of line 11 4_ With the Excluding of the 2 unusually large donors we would have arrived at a support of 91.7% of all the remaining contributions below 2% of the total of line 11 . The challenge computing the support schedule comes from the former accountant having used Part III rather than part II. Part II is for 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) which is the classification given Hands Across Nations (HAN) at the time the 501C3 was granted. Nothing has change regarding HAN purpose and activities since that time so it is our opinion that part II is the correct Support Schedule to be used. Since we have unclear data for the year 2020 and previous years from the records handed over by the previous bookkeeper/CPA we are reporting in 2021 starting with data for 2021 so consequently we have checked the box on line 13 Since HAN's broad base of donors has been much the same for many years going back there is every reason to believe the support base would be similar to the results spoken about above for 2021. In 2022 we had very little time to prepare the 990EZ for 2021. We have gained a much better understanding of what is required in reporting, therefore we are amending the 2021 990EZ return. We have also prepared the 2022 return with complete documentation and chain of custody of funds. The 2022 return we are about to submit has a very good Public Support rating well above the 33 1/3% required as well. |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | Some time after filing the 2020 990EZ return for Hands Across Nations (HAN) the Bookkeeper/CPA resigned. Thank You |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 3 | The amount on line 19 reported as "closing net assets or fund balance" at the end of the year 2020 by the former CPA could be a misclassification. We have shown this as a -$10,290 change in fund balance for this 990EZ 2021 line 20. |
