Mission

Rebuild upstate exists to repair the existing homes of disabled, low-income and elderly homeowners, preserving affordable housing in its communities by making homes safer, healthier, and more liveable. The organization accomplishes this mission by engaging with community partners to provide materials, funding and volunteer support for home repair.

UNLIKE ORGANIZATIONS THAT FOCUS ON NEW CONSTRUCTION, REBUILD UPSTATE REPAIRS EXISTING SUBSTANDARD HOMES TO ENABLE FAMILIES TO KEEP THEIR MOST AFFORDABLE HOUSING-THE HOME THEY ALREADY OWN. THESE EXPENSES HAVE ENABLED US TO REPAIR 180 OWNER-OCCUPIED HOMES BY COMPLETING A TOTAL OF 555 PROJECTS DURING THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF OVER 2200 VOLUNTEERS WHO GAVE 29,390 HOURS OF THEIR TIME.
