The hr camp foundation ceased its operations at the end of 2014 and dissolved the legal entity. The assets of the hr camp foundation were transferred to the episcopal diocese of wyoming (another 501c3 organization) and the diocese will become the general overseer of the hr camp operations. The camp itself is not being dissolved, just the foundation of the camp. The episcopal diocese of wyoming will be partnering with the episcopal diocese of south dakota and using their camp for the next 3 years.

The organization is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c) (3) of the internal revenue code, qualify for the charitable contribution deduction under section 170(b)(1)(a)(vi), and has been classified as a community trust. However, income from activities not directly related to its tax exempt purposes is subject to taxation as unrelated business income. The organization had no unrelated business income during the year ended december 31, 2014. We perform an annual analysis of various tax positions of the organization, assessing the likelihood of those positions being upheld upon examination by relevant tax authorities. We believe we have conducted our operations in accordance, and have properly maintained our tax exempt status, and have taken no material uncertain tax positions that qualify for recognition or disclosure in the financial statements.

HOWEVER, INCOME FROM ACTIVITIES NOT DIRECTLY RELATED TO ITS TAX EXEMPT PURPOSES IS SUBJECT TO TAXATION AS UNRELATED BUSINESS INCOME. THE ORGANIZATION HAD NO UNRELATED BUSINESS INCOME DURING THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2014. WE PERFORM AN ANNUAL ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS TAX POSITIONS OF THE ORGANIZATION, ASSESSING THE LIKELIHOOD OF THOSE POSITIONS BEING UPHELD UPON EXAMINATION BY RELEVANT TAX AUTHORITIES. WE BELIEVE WE HAVE CONDUCTED OUR OPERATIONS IN ACCORDANCE, AND HAVE PROPERLY MAINTAINED OUR TAX EXEMPT STATUS, AND HAVE TAKEN NO MATERIAL UNCERTAIN TAX POSITIONS THAT QUALIFY FOR RECOGNITION OR DISCLOSURE IN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.
