“A member is defined as any individual of good business repute engaged in the business of collision repair and vehicle servicing, or vehicle sales, supplies, parts, insurance, or other related services, including but not limited to, education and training associated with the collision repair industry. Each individual, as defined, shall be eligible for membership as a voting member. Additionally, any student interested in or considering a career in collision repair or vehicle servicing shall be eligible for membership as a student member. Student members shall be eligible to vote, but shall not be eligible to hold office in this organization.”

“A draft version of the form 990 is provided to all directors of the organization and reviewed by the executive committee and board prior to filing.”

“Annually, the organization requires officers and directors to sign a conflict of interest policy, which discloses any conflicts needing to be discussed by the board to determine that there is no inurement. The board or its designee reviews the disclosure forms and any other relevant information. If any conflicts are disclosed or if a conflict of interest is determined to exist, the board may require any action they deem appropriate. This could include, but is not limited to, disclosure of the interest to the board or other participants in the decision or policy making body, written and/or oral disclosure of the interest to an audience at an educational session (for example), recusal from voting on a matter and limitation of the individual's participation.”
