Sonora behavioral health hospital provides expertise on mental health, chemical dependency, and psychiatric treatment services. Sonora behavioral health hospital also provides the personnel to take care of the residents of haven sendero de sonora, a level ii 10-bed adolescent crisis stabilization and respite facility.

MORE THAN 66% OF ALL YOUTH DISCHARGE TO A LOWER LEVEL OF CARE UPON LEAVING SENDERO. SENDERO HAD 168 ADMISSIONS FOR SHORT-TERM CRISIS STABILIZATION SERVICES DURING 2013. ALL OF THE ADMISSIONS WERE YOUTH AGES 12-17 WHO RECEIVED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FROM A MEDICAID CONTRACTED PROVIDER. THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF STAY IN 2013 FOR THE YOUTH THAT WERE ADMITTED WAS 11.5 DAYS.
