Self-Empowerment Program: The Sewing program empowers many women and human trafficked survivors to achieve sustainable outcomes and improve their working-life quality, health, and quality of life.We purchased products (blankets, warm jackets, recycled rice bags) made by the people in the TCFs SEP program and gave them to needy people in the remote communities in Central Vietnam. Winter Relief/Vietnamese New Year: In February 2024, as the Vietnamese New Year (TET) was getting closer, while many families were preparing food to feast on their ancestors and family members for the TET season, many families still struggled to work for daily food and make ends meet.One week before TET, the TCF team members delivered support to 280 low-income families in remote villages of Thua Thien Hue province who have been financially affected by the economic downturn and harsh winter climate.Each family received a gift pack valued at 40 USD, including 27 USD cash, a blanket, a warm jacket, hand sanitizer, soap, 10kgs of rice, a box of instant noodles, 500g of seasoning powder, and one small bag of sweet goodies.
