Mission

The organization's missions are to help the people of afghanistan rebuild their social and economic structures shattered by years of war, in sustainable environmentally respectful ways, by undertaking initiatives in afghanistan to (a) expand the production of licit local crops and create value-added products from those crops for the domestic and international markets, and (b) assist local and regional developmental planning efforts.

Please be advised that Form 8868 was timely sent to IRS but inadvertently omitted a signature. Please note that Form 8868 was not intended to be filed without such signature and such inadvertent error shall not be repeated in the future. Please also note the Organization's history of filing compliance since its inception. Accordingly, we respectfully request that all penalties and interest be waived and abated regarding Arghand Trust, Inc.'s late filing of Form 990 in connection with the denied additional application for extension as per the attached notice.Furthermore, please be advised that the attached Form 990 is hereby being filed after November 15, 2012 as a result of the Tax Preparers being located in Hurricane Sandy affected areas. Moreover, please be further advised that the Tax Preparers were without electrical power for a significant period following the storm and were therefore unable to prepare the return prior to November 15, 2012. Accordingly, the extended due date of the accompanying return, per IRS Hurricane Sandy relief provisions, is February 1, 2013. We thank you for your time and consideration of this matter.
