Form 990, Part III, Line 4D: Other Program Services Description

Other program services 4: other program services 5: elevate - the elevate (math) program is designed to improve middle school math achievement. It focuses on the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for students to successfully complete high school common core math 1 or algebra 1 by the end of 8th grade. The program is offered at no charge for students and includes a teacher training component that benefits every child with whom a teacher comes into contact, regardless of the student's participation in this program. The elevate (science) program is designed to prepare entering high school students to successfully complete their first laboratory science course. Elevate is a model program showcasing how silicon valley business can parter with local schools to meet a mutual objective: to prepare more students to reach proficiency in mathematics and science. Other program services 6: 49ers stem leadership institute - the 49ers stem leadership institute is a project with the santa clara unified school district to provide an enriched program of instruction and activities for a select group of high potential students in mathematics and science. The san francisco 49ers foundation is the major funder. Other program services 7: ihub - ihub is a project where education entrepreneurs are matched with teachers to test their products in the classroom and provide feedback. The goal is to improve the products being offered to the education community to improve instruction. Other program services 8: teacher innovation grants - svef teacher innovation grants empower silicon valley teachers to inspire tomorrow's innovators. Through funding from our grants, teachers have a new opportunity to create memorable, interactive and enhanced learning experiences for their students in the classrooms and on field trips. Other program services 9: east side alliance- the east side alliance is a collective impact initiative recognizing that the districts and partners involved are indpendent angencies agreeing to collaborate towards a common purpose, with agreed upon goals and strategic initiatives that support a collaboratively developed vision and mission.
